The ink is thermo-sensitive, meaning it becomes transparent at temperatures above 60°C. Avoid leaving your notes in a hot car or near a heater. However, if the ink does fade, you can recover it by placing the paper in a freezer at -10°C or below.

Do Frixion refills run out faster than regular pens?

Due to the special thermo-sensitive gel ink, a refill's write-out length can be slightly shorter compared to traditional gel pens. This is a normal trade-off for the unique benefit of erasability. We offer refills to keep you writing for longer.
