Overview

Writing a 0.38mm line usually means putting up with scratchy contact between tip and paper, but the rounded tip on this edgeless tip gel pen lowers drag and keeps strokes evenāœļø. Fine lines stay clean in planners, notebooks and margin notes, which suits detailed bullet journaling and study work.

This Signo RT1 retractable gel pen clicks out with a bevelled push button shaped for the thumb, and the clip, printed with the tip size, keeps it on a notebook coveršŸ“— or a pocket edge. Water-based pigment ink flows smoothly and is formulated to resist feathering, so lines stay crisp on everyday paperšŸ’§.

Among smooth writing fine point gel pens, this range stands out for its 17 barrel colors, from transparent brights to soft pastelsšŸŽØ. Ten standard shades write in a matching ink color, while seven pastel shades write in black, so there is a pen for schoolwork, planning or office records. An extended rubber grip cushions long sessions, and replacement refills keep the barrel in use after the first cartridge. Slim at about 142mm, it slips into a pencil case or pocket without fussšŸŒˆ.

Features

  • Low-drag rounded tip: The upgraded rounded tip cuts friction against paper compared with older angular tips, so even the finest line travels smoothly without catching on fibersšŸ§µ.
  • Pigment gel ink: A newly formulated water-based pigment gel ink delivers rich color with improved glide, and it resists feathering on common notebook paperšŸ–‹ļø.
  • Extended rubber grip: A longer natural rubber grip adds traction and softens pressure, which reduces hand tiredness through long study or office sessionsāœ‹.
  • Transparent barrel: On the ten standard colors, the clear resin barrel shows the ink color inside and how much ink is left, so a refill is never a surprisešŸ‘€.
  • Marked clip: The clip is printed with brand and tip-size information, so the right size is easy to spot in a crowded pen cupāœ”ļø.

Q&A

Is the ink the same color as the barrel?

On the ten standard transparent-barrel colors, yes, the ink matches the barrel. The seven pastel solid-color pens write in black ink, so check the color name before choosing a pen.

Can I replace the ink when it runs out?

Yes. Replacement refills are available for this pen, so you can swap the empty core and keep the barrel and grip. Match the refill to the tip size of your pen, 0.38mm or 0.5mm.

Will it fit a standard pencil case?

Yes. The pen is about 142mm long and 13mm thick, close to a typical click gel pen, so it fits most pencil cases and pockets. The clip also lets it sit on a notebook cover.

Which tip size should I choose, 0.38mm or 0.5mm?

Choose 0.38mm for small planner boxes, annotations and detailed notes, and 0.5mm for everyday writing with a slightly bolder line. Only Blue, Red and Black come in both sizes; every other color is 0.5mm.
